ncredible 1983 Jeep CJ-7 rock-crawl ready or take
it to the beach!
This Jeep has been such a source of happiness, I
hate having to do this, but life has some
different priorities for me.
This is NOT your typical Jeep. Where do I start.?
Jeep is an 1983 that had been living in Arkansas
before I bought it in 2005. The vehicle has NEVER
been driven in the snow the frame of this Jeep is
immaculate and not rusty at all. My GF's 2001 TJ
is in far worse shape than my 83 CJ. It has
ALWAYS
been stored for the winter indoors and well
maintained since I got my paws on her.
Engine/Engine compartment/Exhaust:
AMC 304 V8, with headers, straight pipes and
glass-paks heading out to dual exhaust. (I have a
brand new set of Headman Headers still in the box
for the Jeep.) I added a Mallory optical
distributor that never needs maintenance and
always fires perfect. I also added a MSD coil and
Optima yellow-top AGM battery. She fires up on
the
first shot and runs like a top. In the deep cold
of winter, she will fire on at least the third
turn of the key! I have always changed oil
frequently and maintained all levels and belts.
Radiator is a 4-core heat-buster no problems
with cooling since it was installed
Suspension:
Pro Comp 4 inch lift with shackles that are an
inch or two longer than stock.
Super-Swamper TSL Boggers 34 x 17.5 on American
Racing aluminum rims.
5th tire has never hit pavement.
Front is a Dana 30 with a Power traks Lock Rite
locker and |
