This is about a 95% original 1980 CJ5 Golden Eagle
with 8 cylinder and 40,000 original miles.
$19,500. 24 years with same owner at a hunting
camp, then in 2004 my father-in-law got it and
started fixing it up. Three years and four
thousand miles ago the following work was
done...steering box rebuild and new stabilizer
shock, transmission check and fluid replacement,
new radiator, new water pump, new fuel pump, new
shocks, new master cylinder, new brake pads, new
plugs & wires, universal joints, new paint, new
tires. Hard top and hard doors, soft top and soft
doors, bikini top, tilt steering, power steering,
winch, swing-away tire rack, trailer hitch, etc.
Runs and rides fantastic. Clutch is in great
shape. Cruises highway smoothly at 70mph with
power to spare or scoot around town.
