This is a 1961 rust free frame, good motor and
driveline, with a very nice fiber glass body. The
chassis was gone through about 10 years ago with a
4 inch Rancho suspension lift. It has 31X10.5
tires. This was used as a classic toy and has
hardly seen any usage. The axles are in good
shape. The 134 F head motor was rebuilt about ten
years ago, and is in great shape. No smoke, starts
and runs great. The T-90 transmission was rebuilt
last year, using all new bearings and the
numerically higher ratio gears used in the Jeep
pickup truck. It got a new clutch, rebuilt master
cylinder, some new brake lines and the frame got a
fresh rust encapsulater paint treatment. The body
is a high quality fiberglass CJ5 tub that has
metal plates in all the right places for mounting
hinges, latches etc. It has a tilt nose, which
allows easy access to the engine. I mounted a mid
70s nostalgic metal hard top on it. This top has
perfect steel doors, good glass, and roll down
windows. I put on new stainless mirrors and
installed a heater. The bumpers are custom made
steel and look very strong and really cool. The
body and top just got a fresh paint job using
Arcylic Enamel paint. The rims are freshly
painted and the centers and lug nuts are new. The
interior is plain an simple with seats from a
Volvo. The back of the seats look a little
unsightly, but the
seating surfaces look good. It has a 6.5 foot
Meyer plow with an E-47 pump and 2 year old angle
cylinders. Not abused! |
